Ruminating

I'm an artist who is interested in what we look like. But I don't just want to show the surface, the camera can do that. I want to show what it feels like to be us. What it feels like to see us. The proliferation of images has led to a kind of homogenization of what we look like. I hope that through painting an image of a person, I can go beyond the surface and create an image of us that is genuinely of today.
